How to store latex topper?

I'll be moving/traveling over the summer and will need to store my current latex topper for around 3 months. I was wondering if there's anything I should be careful of when putting it away. Does latex get moldy if in a damp place? I was hoping to roll it up, secure it with some rope, put it in a plastic bag (probably in a heavy-duty garbage bag) and put it in the basement. Does this sound okay? Do I need to put in a couple moth balls in the bag or anything?

I would store it gently and dry.  If it's dry, you could bag it in plastic, but you could also just roll it up secure in a sheet to keep it clean and still allow it to breath/air out.  Wider packing tape would probably be better than skinny rope to secure the roll.

Three months in storage is not a long time.
