Im looking for an all latex bed (or possibly latex ontop of springs). Requirements are sustainable production, hypoallergenic, and great support. Im also on a budget since Im a student (lets say no more than $2k MAXIMUM). Full size should be fine

Is there really any difference between the above brands? Im thinking one later of dunlop and the rest talalay is best - something medium to medium firm. Any recommendations on 2 or 3 layers, and which types to use for each? Im a side sleeper and back (and I also prefer stomach, but I have heard that is bad).

Finally, has anyone ever tried to get the cost of the bed covered by medical insurance? Although Im only 23 I have fairly severe arthritis in both my back and hips, so Im thinking if it is possible my doctor would definitely support it.

Thanks!

Chris

I have an American Sleep Organic mattress from Sam's Club.  Its all Dunlop (see webstie for ILD layer ratings, its actually the White Night made by Innomax).  It is a FIRM mattress.  It only has a very thin layer of wool over the latex and then its organic knit cover.  So, it doesn't crater or sink in, and it has nothing to compress & cause the body impressions that have been the bane of my existence for the past decade+.

If you don't want a firm mattress, you will need to look elsewhere or else plan on putting a topper over it to get it to your liking comfort-wise.

And since its from Sam's Club, if you don't like it, you get all your money back.  Might be something for you to consider.
