Latex mattress without wool cover
I noticed that customs sleep design mattresses come without a wool cover. They have in fact a terry cotton cover only. This is unusual. My question is would absence of a wool cover alter the feeling and durability of a latex mattress? I thought wool cover was absolutely necessay in a all latex mattress. Comments please. Thank you very much. |
Re: Latex mattress without wool cover
I thought latex mattresses came with wool because tightly woven wool is fire retardent. From what I've read here, I would recommend a moisture barrier. You can find wool moisture barrier online. They are thin, tightly woven and probably won't alter the feel of the mattress much. Don't mistake a "wool topper" for a "wool mattress pad". |
