OK...I'm just going to jump in deep water , having never layed on a latex before, and order through foamsbymail.com and get a 9" Queen- 6" Firm, 2" Med, 1" Soft with the Terry Cloth zippered case which will cost about $878 (they just had a dang price increase on Friday while I was dragging my feet!)

For the cost of their foam, if we don't like a layer, we can just use the layer on another bed (such as the kids) and get a new layer and not have to do any of this mailing it back stuff.

They did email me their certificate about it being 100% Natural Latex from Europe.

I eventually want to order that wool cover though from Dormier.

 

That's a great price for a latex queen. I'm anxious to hear how you like sleeping on latex. You may even find you like the terry cloth cover alone. One member here said she loved hers because it felt more like velour.

So far, I'm very pleased , better then what I expected really...I was a bit nervous after seeing some other pictures. I really can't see how what we got as 100% latex from FBM would be lesser quality then the competitions who are charging a whole lot more. 

UPS did leave the 130 lb package on my sidewalk though, they literally just put it outside their truck door! I was home but in the shower. NOT FBM fault though on that...just our UPS driver. I used to work for FED EX and I would NEVER leave a huge package like that unprotected from the elements not knowing if the people were home or not! There was a sizable oil spot on the cardboard too, but FBM covers the latex with so much mattress, it was not affected.
