natural care latex by simmons
I have been looking into a Natural Care laxtex mattress by Simmons. Does anyone know anything about this. I have been told that it is all latex foam, not memory foam. I had bought a simmons beautyrest a few years ago and was told that it did not contain any memory foam only latex but came to find out that it did indeed contain memory foam. I hate the memory foam. It feels soft at first but then in the middle of the night I hit a hard bottom and wake up in order to find a more comfortable spot. Hoping that all latex will be more springy. I have always slept with a latex pillow. I was also wondering if a latex topper would help instead. I tried an egg crate topper, but just ended up with a deeper valley to roll out of . I weigh 128lbs at 5'4" and sleep mostly on my back , but side sometimes. When I do sleep on my side I wake up with a sore hip. I would like any information you could provide on the Natural Care line. There is a layer of something called Purfoam. Not sure what this is. I tried to get information on the model that I was looking at and it is called Evensong 59991 sold at Thomasville Home Furnishing, but do not know how that corresponds to the brands on the Simmons website. Thanks. |
Re: natural care latex by simmons
You are a lot like me. I sleep on my back and sides, weight not a lot. My biggest problem with beds is finding the support I need for my hips(where my weight is concentrated), but also having the softness to not cut off my circulation in my hips and shoulders. I had a latex mattress which lasted about two years before foam stopped working. I bought a latex topper for our newer bed but I hated the feeling...latex is boing-y(hubby liked it, tho). Every time I turned over, I bounced, LOL! I would research ad nauseum about springs in the bed(heard somewhere, maybe on this list, that Simmons springs are not great), as well as what they layer above them. I have been through so many mattresses in the past couple of years(seems that foam quality took a nosedive after Katrina), it seems that any polyurethane foam just won't last for beans anymore. Now China is making so much of the innards in our beds, and their quality control is not as good as our USA's usually is. It seems that mattresses are often made in China anymore, so we are buying a lot of middle people's profits more than anything. Oh, and don't believe any warranties...they don't care if you aren't comfortable. Only if your mattress has an indent of 2:" or more! |
