new to this... would this work

I am looking at buying the mattress found here...

  • 4" Sensus 5lb Memory Foam - top comfort layer 13 ILD
  • 3" Medium 1.8 HR 28 ILD Base Layer
  • 3" Firm 1.8 HR 35 ILD Base Layer
but after reading through this site I am thinking that We might sink too much...  I'm 165 and the wife is 120. What does latex feel like? soft, spongy? Is it better to add latex to a memory foam top layer and then more foam underneath this? Would it be better to just order this:

3" Sensus from Sleepwarehouse
2" Talalay Latex Foam Topper Soft (20 ILD) from FBM
2" Talalay Latex Foam Topper Medium (32 ILD) from FBM
3" HD36-HQ Foam FBM

or

Something else? Would it also be wise to add a 1 or 2" latex of 20 above or below the sensus?

I ordered from both at the same time. Foam by mail came first. One had a tracking email, the other didn't.

Great post and information from all of you.

I would consider doing this is shipping, customs and currency exchange didn't make it to expensive. Then there is my wife to deal with.

What type of box ... slat are all of you using or planning to use?

I just got an email reply back from FBM. They said that the latex will be shipping out today w/ tracking #.

I will be building a platform bed for the mattress tonight actually. We'll see how it all looks when finished.
