I ordered a Sleepez 10000 twin mattress for my daughter today.  I'm looking forward to receiving it and comparing it to my Flobed.  I ordered the blended latex mattress with the organic mattress cover.

After it arrives and I get it assembled, I'll post my impressions, including a comparison between it and my Flobed mattress.

The Sleepez 10000 twin came today.  The foundation isn't arriving until tomorrow, and we still have a few decisions to make about furniture arrangements, so I haven't totally unpacked it, but here are initial impressions:

The bed came in a single box similar to these.  (scroll down to see the pics - these are from the old Sleepez site, they aren't my pics). The delivery guy just left it on my doorstep (I was out all day), and it was really heavy.  When I went to lift it over the doorstop, the entire bottom of the box came apart, meaning that the bed inside was exposed, probably during transit as I didn't hear any popping or tearing of the heavy duty staples that were supposed to keep the box closed.

So, I pulled the contents out, and the entire bed seems to be wrapped in one cylindrical package such as shown in the link above.  Everything seems to be wrapped in black plastic with a clear plastic bag encasing over that.  Neither the clear plastic nor the black plastic was thoroughly taped shut on the end (the end where the box had come apart), so the bedding components were exposed.  I hope when I get the thing completely unwrapped I don't find they have been soiled in transit.  I can see a layer of latex and I can see and poke my finger onto the mattress cover.

First impressions are (from feel) that the mattress cover is not as nice as the Flobeds cover, but I'll wait until I get the whole thing unwrapped and put together to make a real judgment on that.

My next impression is that this may not be as user friendly or easy to set up as the Flobed.  The Flobed came with each layer and the cover individually wrapped (seven layers total plus the cover for a queen size) and I was able to:

1) carry each layer and the cover individually to the bedroom, and at ~ 20lbs a compressed layer, it was much easier than it will be to carry this giant wrapped bundle upstairs.  Each layer was compressed and double-wrapped and sealed in plastic, so even though it wasn't light, the compressed size of each layer was small, so it was very manageable.

2) unwrap the cover and lay it on the foundation, then unwrap each layer individually to put inside the cover.

With the Sleepez, I'll have to carry all three layers plus the cover upstairs together as one wrapped bundle.  At ~20lbs per layer plus the cover, this is going to be a lot more awkward and I certainly won't be able to do it myself.   Also, it *looks* like when I unwrap the plastic everything is going to spring out at once, like a jack-in-the-box.  I am hopeful that individual pieces will be individually wrapped, but I can already see that at least one latex layer is not wrapped in any protective plastic, other than the outer black and clear plastic bags that encase everything.  I suppose I could unwrap everything downstairs and then carry each piece upstairs.

For shipping, I obviously like the Flobed model better, although, to be fair, shipping was free with the Sleepez and I paid $99 for shipping with Flobeds.  But the Flobeds had each component individually compressed and protectively sealed in plastic (double layers of plastic for the latex, one plastic bag for the cover).

This may be a temporary inconvenience for setting up the Sleepez bed, but provided there isn't any soiling due to the box being open and the plastic encasing not being thoroughly sealed shut, it is just that, a temporary inconvenience and possibly worth saving $99 in shipping.

Anyway, I will post more about it when I finally get the thing unwrapped and put together, not likely until Saturday, after furniture has been moved around and the foundation arrives (tomorrow) and has been set up on the bedframe.
