Re: pain in the middle of shoulder blades whats causes it
Probably too much foam and/or too much old foam and certainly cheap foam that isn't giving you enough support. Sounds to me that the foam is too firm at his shoulders and they are getting scrunched all night. Try a taller pillow and a polyfill topper(down-type). Adds softness without hurting the hips. JMO Kait |

If you are looking for a good night's sleep, proper sleep posture is everything. Your mattress should help you obtain the proper posture for your position.

Pain in the middle of the shoulder blades is usually caused by someone sleeping on their stomach but holding their torso up with one arm to allow them to breathe. |

Batman, your signature interests me. If you know something about proper posture when sleeping maybe you can give me some advice [Sorry for the thread hijacking, here!] What suggestions can you make for a side sleeper? I have heard that putting a roll around my midsection is a good idea but I've tried tyng a towel around me there and it always slips during the night and ends up CAUSING pain. I've also heard of putting a cushion between my legs above the knee but this also just tends to slip and not last during the night. I'd appreciate any pointers you may have. I have TRIED sleeping on my back but I just cannot do it. If I fall asleep that way, within minutes I am back on my side! And most specifically my right side. I don't sleep well on my left side, either! |
