We just bought a 9" memory foam mattress on September 19th (1st one ever). I cannot STAND it because I can't sleep comfortably and it has caused back/shoulder problems for me. I weigh about a buck at that (100 pounds). My husband, on the other hand, weighs about 235 and loves the memory foam mattress. I feel like the mattress is too firm because I barely weigh anything but what bothers me the most is that I end up sunken in on his side of the bed!

Has anybody had similar experiences as me? Can anybody help me? I don't know what kind of mattress to get and I am unable to spend over $600!

I'm going crazy! I NEED TO GET RID OF THIS THING AND FIND A NEW MATTRESS THAT SUITS US BOTH ASAP!!!

HOPE THIS HELPS.

The biggest problem wih buying memory foam mattress is they are a big HIT OR MISS meaning either you love it or you hate it. You are very right it should feel firm to you because you are a very light person and do not really sink in unlike your husband which feels the mattress better because it hugs all of his body and conforms to it. i would highly recommend a latex mattress quilted with 1" of memory foam you get the comfort of memory foam but the support of a latex mattress we currently sell these and they are amazing

hope this helps.

In some cases, you can in fact special order certain matress models with a different firmness on each side. However, due to your price contraint, it doesnt look like this is going to be an option for you.
