These are the two latex mattresses I have been able to sample in my area. It is difficult for me to tell which will be best to relieve my discomfort from pressure points. One web site (BedPlanet.com) says that the Sealy Embody Perspective is constructed as follows (from top to bottom): 2" smart latex, 1" high density polyurethane foam, 2" smart latex, 2" high density SS foam, 4" latex core with interlock system Meanwhile, the PureBliss Nutrition is all latex, with a 6" talalay latex support layer and 4" talalay latex pressure relief layer The advantages of the Sealy Perspective is a (roughly) $500 price advantage for a king, as well as the local family-owned store that is selling it. I am somewhat loathe to deal with the Sleepys that is selling the Pure Latex Biss. However, pressure point discomfort has been a major insomnia issue for me. Does it really make an appreciable difference to have all latex versus the various layering of the Perspective? Any insights are welcome!!
For the king size, the Nutrition is roughly $500 more. |
Give the sales person some credit for identifying as a sales person. Everyone here has his/her "opinion" based on personal experience whether it be owning a bed, selling beds, etc. If you choose to trust the words of a single person and not even someone you know, well, you get what you paid for. Doing research takes time and requires reading from different sources and trying to figure out what it means *for you*. That said.... I would like to share this story from my officemate. He has some innerspring mattress. He says it is totally uncomfortable when you lie on it. But if you stretch a string across the top of the mattress, there is no sag! So it passes the manufacturers sag warranty. Soon he will be mattress shopping. YMMV |
