hi everyone, i promise to post about my DIY mattress later today, because i LOVE it! However, I'm still having trouble sharing a bed with my partner, because every little movement (and granted, latex/pu foam causes little movement) awakens me. So, i've begun thinking...about possibly slicing the foam layers in half (we have a king plus a few extra inches) and creating two x-tra long twins, and place them next to each other on the platform bed. Problem is, I think our platform bed 'flexes' and transfers some movement. It has slats, and they are a bit flexible, so I'm sure this is the case. Now i think i should have gotten a solid platform, not slats...Would this solve the flexing, or would there still be some? Is there any way to make the current platform bed 'solid' instead of 'slats'? If not, we'll have to consider two separate platform beds next to each other. Ok, 'love my bed' post coming next...! |
Very interested in your DIY bed. As for not feeling movement I think the only way would be seperated bed frames/foundations. Sorry..... |
