| My two weeks of mattress searching has led my wife and I to the iComfort Prodigy and the Natura Sensation. The iComfort was more comfortable in the store but is all memory foam with 1" of latex mixed in. Other models in the line (insight, revolution) seem to have mixed reviews on this forum. The Natura Sensation is mostly latex, but with 3" of memory foam with a wool top fill. Can anyone offer any experiences with either of these specific models? |

So here is some more detailed specs on the two mattresses:
Serta iComfort Prodigy: http://www.walkerfurniture.com/icpr.html • Comfort Layer Cover looks to be 100% polyester but I cannot find specs on this. In the comfort layer there is a 1" Serta Comfort foam which is essentially regular polyurethane foam that they have simply relabelled Serta Comfort Foam. The entire Support layer is regular polyurethane foam. Natura Sensation: http://www.naturaworld.com/mattress-sensation Comfort Layers: 4.2lbs of wool (queen size )layer of cotton batting 1" 'plant base' foam, likely 20~25% soy or castor bean oil content, but comparable in quality to the one inch of poly foam in the top of the icomfort 3" 'plant based' memory foam Support Layers: 2" blended latex (30% natural/70% synthetic, talalay latex) 4" natural dunlop latex Cover is approximately 75% cotton (this I know from actually reading the law label on one in person) Based on having a LOT less polyurethane in the total mattress build I would assume that the Natura will be a lot heavier and more durable mattress in the long haul, not to mention significantly cooler sleeping because of more breathable moisture wicking materials being used in the surface. Comfort is really subjective...if you don't mind having to replace the mattress sooner, and the icomfort is more comfortable it might be a better choice....but I am curious as to the price...based on the build the natura should be significantly more expensive.
