Hi I have been reading through this very informative forum, and doing some research into various sites Flobeds, SLeepez etc.  I read some of the past posts about the lack of a 100% Late Serta bed and was a little concerned, as I am about to purchase the Beyond Allure bed.

The sale brochure says 8"  talalay latex Core

2.5" Convoluted Latex and

1" Comfort Latex

I called Serta to try and verify 100% Latex and what the ILD was.  At first she had no idea what I was talking about, then she found the info and said yes 100% latex and the core ILD is 28 with 36 ILD Rails?

The negotiated price is $2600 with free shipping and setup.  The first guy I talked to said they couldn't take much off the $3299 price because it's new to them within the last 30 days.

The bed seems ultra comfy and I guess I want it to be a good deal, but am I about to make a big mistake???

Sounds like a pretty nice bed, the ILD sounds awfully soft though.  Knowing more about latex than I did when I started out, I don't think I would personally purchase a mattress where I couldn't customize the firmness level by switching out layers, but that doesn't mean the Vera Wang isn't a good mattress.

I heard that the top end model was 100% latex and that some of the lower models were not.  Not sure about this though as I didn't thoroughly research the Vera Wang.

I agree though, I'd be wary if you don't have a 100% refund comfort guarantee.  That's a lot of money you're laying out.

i would be curious to know what the latex is made out of.  also you can probably tell for sure if it is actually all latex by simply looking at the law label on the head end of the mattress in the showroom floor.  it should list content as Latex Foam, Polyester Fibres, and then a breakdown of the cover.  if the label says anything about Polyurethane Foam than it is not a 100% latex mattress, probably has some poly quilted into the top of the mattress.
