Has anyone ever received a latex pillow via UPS shipment just put in a UPS bag, without a protective plastic bag over the pillow?  This would be to protect the pillow from the fillth that a UPS bag ends up with.  This would be a barrier when you take the pillow out of the filthy bag you don't end up with filth on the pillow!

You know the bags that have identifying information about the pillow and UPC code.  Also known as a packaging and perhaps a protective bag.surprise

I got such a package today, it didn't even come with a packing list.  You know the thing you use to return something!  So I now have a pillow without the protective bag, without the UPC code, without a packing/return slip.  I sent them an email, I really really really hate phone calls.  Thank goodness I didn't order anything else from them.  If I got the wool topper like this I would really be ranting and raving.  (I really don't like mail order, never will do it again)  I am not ranting and raving crying

Packaging seems to be deteriorating in general. I just received a pair of two very large down-covered foam cushions for my sofa (to swap out the non-down-filled ones - these are the cushions that form the seat of the sofa), and they came completely unwrapped and uncovered, just packed as is into the giant fed ex shipping boxes. I.e., the box contained the two unwrapped cushions and literally nothing else to protect them.

I'd received no notice of when they would ship despite my inquiry, so they arrived at my apt building when I was away on a one-week business trip. I came back to find that the box had been stored in the basement of my NYC apartment building, and the box itself had 4-5 tears and holes in it, exposing the cushions to the dirt, grime, bugs, rainwater etc. of NYC.

And these came from Mitchell Gold, a relatively high-end furniture store. I did let the customer service rep know and she said they generally ship this way, but she would ask the fulfilment center to at least put them in plastic bags moving forward.

That's horrible! I guess if I liked it and it was a good enough deal, I'd take it outside, beat the dust and dirt out of it and then use it, but I'd definitely complain about it! That's just "unacceptable", and as I say, I'd only accept it if I really felt it was worth it. Is this the JCP latex pillow? That is just really poor service.

I read an article the other day about how we are starting to be like a 3rd World country. Things like this make me think it's true.

The customer service did come through, they were nice.  But lesson learned I will only go to a store and pickup a pillow with the plastic wrapper.

I did just ordered some shoes online because they were such a good deal, and I hate picking shoes out.  Hope they come in a box, LOLwink  I am not as a big of a germafob over shoes, I can spray those with alcohol, if they were returned.
