Side sleepers and latex toppers or mattress poll
For those of you that sleep on latex mattresses or latex toppers, can you tell me what setup and/or ILD that your hips feel no pain? Kimberly you use to have hip pain, but I am not sure if you still have no pain all the time. I remember (I think) 36ILD for the layers and the convoluted topper all Flobed right? Vzone Flobed users what ILD do you use for your hips? I am talking about people who experienced painful pressure points from side sleeping. For those young people who never experience problems sleeping or even mature people who don't have problems with pressure points those experiences don't help, because they can sleep on rocks LOL. That would be my husband. He doesn't know how lucky he is........ Thanks for any help. |

Re: Side sleepers and latex toppers or mattress poll
Why are you calling out Flobeds? What does Flobeds have to do with *your* sleep issues? They offer latex mattresses, and I think air and water mattressess as well. The people on this forum who have purchased from Flobeds have tended to purchase their latex products - at least I haven't seen any reports on their air/water bed products. The forum users here have stated many times, in many different threads, that latex isn't for everyone. Jimsocal is a notable case in point. He tried a Flobeds and it didn't work out for him. However, even the people who purchased from Flobeds and returned their beds because latex wasn't the solution for them acknowledge that it is a first rate company with exemplary customer service. Other people have tried latex mattresses from other latex mattress retailers, e.g., Sleepez and Saavy Rest. Some have been happy, some have returned their mattresses. Some people can't deal with Dunlop latex, some people can't deal with Talalay latex. Some people have tried various Costco memory foam/latex mattresses and all latex mattresses. Some have turned to mattress surgery (Jimsocal being the guru in that department). Some people have had good experiences with Tempurpedics and Tempurpedic knock-offs. Everyone is different, with different preferences regarding how they want their mattress to feel, and how their bodies respond to different mattress components and firmness levels. There is no one solution for everybody. Seems irresponsible to call out ONE mattress company that you haven't even purchased from because you tried a latex *topper* and it wasn't the answer for you. |

@ LEO - if you are still interested in trying a latex mattress, you might want to look at the Arizona Mattress Company that Sager brought to our attention. The prices there do seem very good, and it might be a very cost effective way to try out a latex mattress and see how it works for you. http://www.latexmattresscompany.com/ |
