Was out of town and saw this at one of their stores, the quality of the mem foam didnt seem that great but the ability to increase the firmness is good

I had the standard sleep number before and it got to the point that even at 100 it wasnt firm enough

just thought i would mention it

was on sale, $5000 for $2500

There are air beds out there that are worth it. A single chamber is far better than dual and I have the sweat problem solved. I love my air bed, it works for me.

No, it's not a Sleep Number, way over priced! There are sites where you buy the componets and make your own, same with waterbeds.

single vs what, do you mean to have separate controls for the two sides of the bed?  i would never build my own but am impressed that you have or can...

i can barely change a light-bulb without electrocuting myself

Kinda like my answer when someone offers me a drink  "No thanks, I am allergic, everytime I drink I break out in handcuffs"

I love this place! OK, it takes hours to find all this info. I've spent weeks reading all I can and one day I'll figure out how to store all this info! Right now it's in the ol' noggin.

Google air bed componets and see what you come up with!

randys, I found a really good use for my Overstock latex...I put it under my couch cushions, on top of the doors from the Oak entertainment center that I am using for my bed. I have a really comfortable couch and it's tall, easy to get in and out of. People want to know what I did...of course the dogs love it! I've said it before, if I lay all my foams on the floor the dogs ALWAYS go for latex never mem foam!!

Make sure (if or when) you get a sleep number bed, get one that auto adjusts the firmness setting. If it loses pressure overnight, a little compressor kicks on automatically to correct the setting. That way, if a weather front passes through that night, and the barometric rises rapidly, you won't end up on a softer bed. I find a 2" or 1" Sensus topper an excellent addition to a sleep number bed. If you are unfamiliar with Sensus, go with the 1". Thinner is better than thicker. Feel free to pm me with any questions.
