I ordered an 1" 19 ILD topper from sleeplikeabear and it made a huge difference for me. I liked it so much I ordered a 2" 19 ILD to add to it. We will see, should have it soon. they will go in a wool cover that adds some firmness to it.

One thing I noticed with SLAB, is the latex comes completely compressed in a small box meaning it is new, as opposed to some of the other toppers I have bought that come in HUGE boxes uncompressed. hard to tell if they are really new.

yeah, the prices are a bit high, but they build in shipping and *willing to take back* if you are not happy, unlike other purchases that I am stuck with without being able to return.

I do have a 3" medium ILD (i'm guessing about 26 ILD) queeen size that i will not need, not sure what to do with it at this point. It was made by Latex Green I think.

Good question, how do you know it is a new latex topper?  It is easy to suck air out of a bag with a vacuum cleaner.

Does anyone know if they sell "new" latex toppers?

What was wrong with the 26 ILD, that should have been somewhat soft?  Not sure about the manufacturer you mentioned though.  Latex International is the only one I would trust, from USA.  But haven't seen the others.

The fact that the latex was compressed means nothing.  I've returned two layers of latex to Flobeds, and each time I compressed the latex myself quite easily by folding it in thirds, placing it in a large plastic back, and sucking the air out with a vacuum cleaner hose.  The whole thing compressed to a fraction of its size.

Sleeplikeabear told me that they don't resell latex that has been returned.  There is no way to know for sure, since it is easy to vacuum pack it. However, I don't have any basis to doubt them.

Better, still want more, can feel the firm "medium" dunlop underneath. May add 2" 19 ILD below the 3" I have, or 2" 14 ILD in top, not sure yet.

Yeah, i guess just because it's compressed does not mean it's new, but this does seem new. the smell etc. They have been helpful so far, have not returned anything yet, but i like the idea that I can if I need to.
