What about fire-ratings for mattresses? Or how to buy hotel-grade mattresses?

Are there UL fire ratings or gov't fire standards for mattresses?  Are foam-type mattresses more flamable than inner-spring type?

There is a whole range of mattresses available for hotels that don't seem to be available to the home / retail market.  How does someone tap-into that supply, and what are the differences in those mattresses compared to retail versions?

Naturally foam will burn faster, but you got to be careful about having Fire Retardent on your bed. You wouldn't believe the bad chemicals that is sprayed on it to make it FR. The gov't mandates that a lot bad things be put into our mattresses.

Wool is a natural fire retardant, that is the way to go.

as for hotel mattresses, they are on the web, I have seen them for sale, but cannot remember what site. Just type it in, you will find them. I always thought hotel beds were too stiff. I think we sleep better on them because we are away from our everyday stressful life.
