What do you think about Sleep Science Memory foam mattress?

Greetings:

I am shopping for a new mattress and narrow down to 2 type, Latex $1600 (Dr Breus, no specification found) and memory foam Queen Supreme comfort (Sleep Science) ~ $2400 without frame.

The Sleep Science specification seems to be superior to Tempur Pedic in density and offer a 20 years warranty sagging equivalent to TP.  I can't find any specification for Dr Breus and am not sure if the mattress has several layers of Latex or has a core foam then the top layer is latex.

My wife and I weight about ~120 lbs each.  Since we are both side and back sleeper (50/50), I lean toward the memory foam.  Thinking that it will allow more sinking thus having a better posture.  Is my assumption wrong?  I have tried a memory foam and Dr Breus mattress at a local Sleepys store and it seems to confirm my above theory (memory foam allow more sinking).  I feel less pressure when turning to the side on a memory foam than a latex mattress.  Is this just my imagination or a fact?

My family also has Tempur Pedic mattress and I heard they complaint about the heat issue which doesn't bother me and sagging.  However, I can't afford their mattress due to the price ~$4000.

Any comment to help me pick the right one is greatly appreciated.

Queen Supreme Comfort

  • Meets the requirements of 16 CFR Part 1633 Federal flammability (open flame) standards
  • Patented wedge, edge to edge support system which provides 20% more sleeping surface, prevents sagging, and extends the life of the mattress
  • 8" patent pending Air Channel base helps air circulate and keeps the mattress as temperature neutral as possible

Sleep Science memory foam mattress is manufactured by SOUTH BAY INTERNATIONAL.

I purchased the  Supreme 14.5" mattress through a reseller and had it freighted to my home. After a few months while re-arranging my bedroom I tore the cover. I was very disappointed. So, I started the process of finding and ordering one. I contacted SOUTH BAY INTERNATIONAL, who still makes the bed for resellers, and tried to order the replacement for my $2100 SOUTH BAY INTERNATIONAL mattress. At first I was told that the cover was not available. I became irritated and told them that I was going to what I am doing here, let everyone know that South Bay International does not support it's products or customers. I was told to hold one minute and was then forwarded to Diana. Diana  promised me that the cover would be in within 8 weeks. So I wait the 8 weeks and call back and speak to Diana again.

Diana tells me that she ordered the cover but they did not come in..." they don't make them anymore". Don't make them any more?  I just bought the bed and if I go to the SOUTH BAY INTERNATIONAL'S website  http://southbayinternational.com/ss_supreme.php I see you are STILL making the mattress. It is still being marketed by you but you are not going to help me?  She replied "what do you want me to do? they don't make it anymore!"  What a rude and uncaring corporation...a bad way to run a business. I pray you do not find yourself in the same predicament I am in at this point. So I felt it necessary to let everyone know how they do business.

Very unhappy customer
