will it hurt or help to spray the latex topper with frebreeze to get rid of latex smell?
the 1 in piece i got from rocky mountain mattress is very strong so anyone know if the frebreeze would help or hurt it. |

Just let it air out naturally. If I recall correctly it took around 1-2 weeks for the smell of my FBM latex bed to completely dissipate. I also wouldn't want to get the latex wet. |

I guess most of us are not bothered by the smell after it airs out. I do not really notice it when it is under the wool topper / mattress pad / top sheet. I think the blended has more of a chemical smell than the 100% natural. None of really know how it would react to another chemical. Probably not a problem is sprayed lightly and you let it dry before covering. Maybe consider some kind of powder like baking soda. |

I have learned that cooking items in a hot car is a good fast way to "bake" out solvent smells and musty odors. You might try that to accelerate the airing-out of new foam. You don't leave the item in ther forever. You just bake it long enough to do the job.
