I didn't see much posted here when I was researching this mattress, so I'll add my experience now that I'm happy owner. I purchased a queen mattress online from Costco a few weeks ago and even though the website said delivery could take up to 4 weeks, I had a truck outside my house with my new bed within a week. The delivery guys removed the new mattress from the box and set it right up in my bedroom. Whole process took less than 10 minutes. I've had just over two weeks of sleep on this mattress and am happy with my purchase. I haven't found it to be "hot" at all. It also isn't too "squishy" as the layer of latex makes it have a similar spring to a regular mattress. I can sit up and read just fine, sitting on the edge of the bed it does sink down a bit, but nothing that seems to be a problem in my world. My back pain has all but gone away after two weeks and I can't wait to crawl into bed every night. There was no smell either.

I didn't get the foundation as I have a platform bed.

So, put me down as a fan.

Similar experience here, Sandra. I combed this site for weeks before we finally bought our Celeste from Costco. There were so many helpful posts on a variety of mattresses, but not much on the Celeste.

We bought the Celeste California King from Costco online. We had a bit of a hiccup with the delivery... The trucking company here in Oregon only delivers to our area one day a week and we were unable to be home that day. We had two conversations with real people to confirm a no signature delivery, but their automated confirmation system (phones you to confirm) was out of the loop. Consequently, no delivery on the date we confirmed with the real people. We were going to have to wait another week, but after we got Costco involved the trucking co. agreed to bring it out the next day.

It's only been 5 days and we are very happy with the new bed. I wasn't sure how I would like the memory foam layer as I do not like the Tempurpedic, but it is great. The mattress has a firm feel initially, but the memory foam and wool topper we put on it gives it a very plush feel. No more back pain for either of us!

I will post again after a few weeks with an update.

I'm glad both of you are enjoying your new mattresses!

The Celeste is an upgraded version of the Aria mattress sold at Costco.

You can check on the forum here for my reviews of that mattress...

I actually just bought the Celeste from Costco. It was delivered within a week from my order (came from same state). It seems like a high quality bed with very good support. It is a bit too firm for me though, so I probably will have to add a topper. Not sure if it will soften up much. Since it starts at 14", it will be very thick if I add any more layers. I am not too excited about that aspect (since I don't have a low profile platform box spring), so I may end up returning and try a latex bed. For my taste, I would have made it with less base foam and more memory foam.

too firm?

i called the company and they said it was their firmest, which is what i may need....

i wonder what the difference is between this brand, sleep science, and the novafoam brand costco also sells

For me it is probably too firm. I am still trying it. Depends on what you like. If you like a firm mattress, then I think it is pretty good.

When I called them originally, I did not get the impression it was the firmest. I called after I received, and then they said it was the firmest. Not sure exactly why, but the 2" latex must be fairly firm. I can add more layers, but then it will be pretty thick, which I am not crazy about.

Let me know how you like the Emma.

I have decided to return the Celeste and buy a customizable bed from Flobeds. After being 0 for 2 on foam beds, I am going to try latex. I was not aware of the customizable latex when I ordered the Celeste.

I think it is good bed, but too firm for me. I sleep on my side, and it feels too hard on my hips and shoulders. I think the core level is pretty firm. It might soften up a bit over time, but I don't want to wait for that. Plus, it is so thick at 14" that I really don't want to start adding more layers on top.

I did not find it hot at all. It feels like pretty good memory foam on the top. Feels like TP, but probably firmer than the ones I tried. The base foam seems firmer.
