Hi there,

We have a very firm mattress and wanted to make it softer with the addition of a topper.

We bought Costco's Sleep Innovation topper, and it really makes the bed more confortable.

However, the strong chemical smell is unbearable. We're aired the mattress for weeks, but it's still there. I've slept on the topper for the first time last night, and although it was confortable, I woke up with throat and eyes irritation.

Anyway, long story short, in terms of firmness/confort, what would be the best natural latex equivalent to this foam topper?

Thanks in advance!

I would consider 1-2-3" of Talalay Latex foam rubber (blended or 100% natural) in the 19-24 firmness range.  The right Dunlop Latex could also serve but varies more by manufacturer.  I have no idea how these would equate to your Costco topper other than that Latex will not irritate you.

Thanks GK!

I just found this one: http://www.amazon.com/Plush-Talalay-Latex-Topper-Mattress/dp/B0060QHEMU/ref=sr_1_13?ie=UTF8&qid=1336147724&sr=8-13

Looks like it's matching the firmness range you quoted.
