Sleeping hot...what to do??

I am currently sleeping on memory foam over latex. Prior to this I was only using latex, which was very hot. The memory foam does not seem quite as hot but I still wake up many nights searching for a cool spot. I never have heat issues with innerspring mattresses, but hesitate to buy one with a pillowtop because they tend not to last long. If I use some kind of mattress topper over the innerspring, do you think I will continue to have the same heat issues? Any suggestions on how to improve the heat issue?

Interesting. Do you use one? I do not sweat or (thanks to hormones) have hot flashes, just feel as though the part of my body touching the mattress is being roasted. I keep my room very cool and use a ceiling fan. The heat is usually not noticeable until the wee hours of the morning.
