Sleepless in Michigan - Latex topper?

I'll try to be brief. We just moved and, having no beds to sleep on, bought 2 "high quality" Restronc "plush" twin beds. My husband can sleep on anything. I have been trading beds in on a regular basis for years. Water beds, air beds, posture beds, memory foam bed.

I wanted to try latex but couldn't find one around here to even try. At home I was sleeping on a very hard cheap bed with a four inch memory foam topper. (rescued from the original memory foam bed after it developed impressions in the first year.) It was working fairly well but we had no place to put the bed in this new home.

I tried using the 4" foam on this Restronic and it was awful. I am tall -- around 5'10" with long legs and had to jump up to get onto the bed. Then the foam was so squishy it took major effort to move to the center of the bed -- not easy for a body weakened and sore from fibromyalgia and other problems. So I am using the flattened out 2" memory foam that we have to take to motels when traveling.

I am overweight (215 pounds) have multiple back problems including spinal stenosis, lumbar buldging, scoloisis and bone spurs on my back. Also have fibro and myofacia chronic pain. Am a side sleeper mostly, and toss and turn because there isn't enough cushioning in this set up for my shoulders.

Have been researching for days and still hope the latex might be the most help, but can't afford a new mattress right now with all the other expenditures (and wasting what we spent on the restronic.) At least not until our former home is sold.

I was about ready to order a 3 inch Talay topper from Plush bed site and happened to find this forum. The lack of a firmness rating is a downer. I think I need a soft three inch Talay topper, maybe around 19 ILD

absolutecomfortonsale.com/  has this:
Made of pure "green" (natural) latex and now availalbe in both MEDIUM-SOFT, 4.75 lb density (16 - 18 IFD) and MEDIUM-FIRM, 5.3 lb density (28 - 30 IFD)

The Medium soft is $329 with cover but I don't think the cover is organic which I would prefer.

sleeplikeabear.com seems to have two Talalay choices. No ILD shown on the site, just "soft, medium, firm"

Like most people searching through all the information I am at a loss. If and when I am ready to try a full mattress system, I will lkely try Flo beds because of good reviews on the help they give in choosing.

In the meantime, please give me your best recommendation for a soft natural latex topper to go on top of the too firm Restronic, from a company that is trustworthy. A return policy would be great but I'm desperate enough to order without one. Also If I buy one without a cover, would it be difficult to find an organic cover that fits?  I have a wool mattress pad (years old, but still good) that I am using right now.

My undying gratitude if someone can please help.  Oh for a good nights sleep again!
