So angry at Loom & Leaf/Klarna Financing

I attempted to buy one of there mattresses online today using Klarna as the financing option. I read many times trying to find out if this created a “Hard Inquiry” on my credit which I was trying to avoid and would not have done if it was clear that was their policy. Instead I get immediately denied with “We cannot verify your information” I also get a email from Experian that there was a change to my credit report. It shows a “Hard Inquiry” from Klarna.

How can they not verify information but my credit report shows a hard Inquiry?
