Hi, i am trying to switch from a stomach sleeper to a back sleeper. I am trying to make the switch because I have recently started having back problems, waking up witha  sore back and having an uncomforatable back all day when sitting/ doing activities. I just bought a medium firm pillow top mattress and have slept aon it for a few days now on my back. the first night I woke up and my back felt partially relieved for the first time in a long time, but my shoulders were slightly aggrivated while on my back. The next night I woke up with shoulder pain and a almost completely relieved back. The next night I woke up with a very sore lower back and my shoulder did not hurt or feel uncomforatable when i was on my back, but my back feels good throughout this day and at this point I am confused and annoyed (although my muscles in my lower back are a bit tingly from my nights sleep, but I feel like i could go lift some weights without and shooting pains in my back again) Can anyone tell me of their experiences with switching to back sleeping and let me know if I should be expecting things like this? Will I get used to the pillowtop mattress and wake up with no pain and no pain throughout the day soon possib ly. Has anyone had similar experience. Thanks please tell me what u think, I am so confused. Should I keep trying on my back? And please don't tell me to sleep on my side, I cannot, please help me with sleeping on my back.
