Has anyone tried this cloud lux- new model from tempurpedic? How is it going so far with this model.

I weigh 213 pounds, sleep on my side and I am about 6 feet tall, and I like a soft surface to sleep on, have some low back pain issues.

Do you think this Cloud Lux wil suit me fine? Thanks in advance.

I'm really not in a position to give you any expert advice, just know how frustrating it is to ask a post a question and now get any replies.  I decided to buy the Tempur-pedic after much searching as it was something I could return with only a small penalty.  I tried the latex search, and found many who had to go to great lengths to get the right combination of layers.  Some never succeeded.  Our age make that all too intimidating.  So after going to about 6 different stores and laying on different tempurpedics, reading all the posts I could find, and even calling the internet TP folks (they were very nice), decided to go with the Luxe.  The questions that I asked the salespeople about this seemed to indicate that the additional softness would not affect the length of time the mattress would last.  I tended towards the Supreme as I was concerned it would not last as long and who can afford to buy this more than once every 10 years or so.  My husband said to go for it, so we did.  The Luxe felt marvelous, and will have in next week.  Will post again with you, if you have not already decided.  My husband is 185 lbs, so hopefully we will know how good this ES and the HD underneath really is.  Good luck with your shopping,

My parents just returned their brand new latex mattress due to it being extremely firm and not being able to get comfortable.  I am not sure who the mfg is.  They looked into the tempurpedic and decided not to purchase it.  They are now mattress shopping too and just bought a tempur knock off to try it.  (Unsure of the model/mfg)  My mother couldn't wrap herself around paying that much money again for a mattress.

I have had my Tempurpedic Cloud Luxe about 3 weeks.  I am not loving this mattress and for the price, one would think I would.  I know they say there is a "break in" period but not sure if that is going to solve the problem.  I have lower back and hip pain issues and I was hoping this mattress would alleviate some of that pain but it hasn't.  If I wake up on my day off in the early morning, I have to get up because I can not get comfortable enough to go back to sleep   - I use to sleeping was my favorite hobby :) but not any more.  I am not sure if the Luxe is too soft for me - I have friends who have the Supreme and seem to like it.    If you like a soft surface, then this mattress may be ok for you.  I am not quite sure what surface I like -  firm feels good for my back, but then hips and shoulders hurt if I am on my side and vice versa for soft.  For the price of this mattress, I want to do more than "like" the mattress.  I am going to be mattress hunting again to make sure I know what I want if this mattress doesn't work for me in the next few weeks.

I sleep on my back and side - a pillow under or between my legs, depending on the position.  Sometimes when I wake up, my arm is numb - not sure if it is from sleeping on my back or if I was sleeping on my side on that arm and rolling onto my back is what woke me up in the first place.  I had an old inner spring mattress before this and I do not remember the arm numbness - back and hip pain, yes.

I spent a lot of time in the mattress store on 2 different occasions (2 different stores) to try and decide on one.  It is such an expense and hard to find something that will feel right to sleep on in the short time you get to try them at the store.

One thing I do like is the base - I got a split king with the 4 drawers and I love it.  The drawers are roomy and it is like having another piece of furniture in the room in the same amount of space!  If I get another mattress, I am hoping it will work with the base!

  Hope this helps you!
