I've been heavily considering the Tempurpedic Cloud Supreme, but damn... the price! I was curious if anyone has found a good alternative similar in feel / support? I found this company that says they offer a mattress very similar to the Cloud Supreme: selectfoam.com (same as memoryfoam.com) However, minimal reviews have strayed me away, which I can only assume is a bad sign. Thoughts?!

I don't want to rant on a brag about how well my Tempurpedic regular Cloud has worked, but I did go thru a horrible time trying 5 mattresses over 5 months last year before finally getting a Tempurpedic in the house. The tricky part was I just couldn't decipher how well or not the regular Cloud would really work once in my home. It seemed ok in the store, but not so much better than other conventional mattresses. But, I was sort of at the end of my rope at that point and just had to take a risk and get the base model Cloud.... the risk paid off. Although the mattress felt firmer than in the store, which was good because it was a brand new foam mattress, and also although there was a noticeable slight odor that lingered for a couple months,..... the support of the mattress and comfort has just been a real blessing for me. My right shoulder cannot put up with a firm conventional sleeping surface, but somehow the memory foam ditributes my weight so the pressure points on my shoulder are greatly reduced. After 5 months, I can still say, this Tempurpedic Cloud is by far the best mattress I have ever owned and I have not one regret buying it. Even for $1600 for a twinXL set, which isn't exactly cheap. |
Thanks for the reply. After tonight's visit to the mattress store, I'm more leaning towards the base model Cloud as it seems to have better support than the Cloud Supreme. I'm just going crazy deciding on which one I like more.... What kind of sleeper are you? Back, side... @ndy |
If that company is Serta and it is the Revolution by icomfort, DO NOT PURCHASE. Either go with the cloud supreme or save some cash and get a traditional pillow top. I wish I had my old pillow top back. I would gladly give you my icomfort but I do not hate you and wish pain upon your back.. |
Haha, thanks! I had an iComfort on order until I did a little more research here. Seems they are good initially and quickly deteriorate into an uncomfortable mess. I don't understand the deal with mattresses these days... they just don't make them like they used to. |
