Tempurpedic vs. traditional coil mattress

My wife and I have been using a Sealy Posturepedic for the last 8 years.  It is a Lighthouse Plush model, likely no longer produced.  I suppose they consider it "plush," which means between firm and medium, but maybe closer to firm (but not the firmest they make).  Anyway, I've been relatively happy with it, at least for the first 5 years or so . I have low back issues, and I prefer a supportive mattress.  Well, over the last 3 years, my back issues have worsened, and I've noticed that the mattress is less supportive.  The visible depression where we normally lie down isn't terribly noticeable, but when you lie down you can tell that the area where most of our weight is sinks down more than when it was new.  Also, when we lie close together, you get a sloping effect.

So I'm in the market for a new mattress. My parents have a tempurpedic (they got the base model, I think about 5-6 years ago or so), and I've tried it out a few nights.  It seems OK.  It's better than what we currently have.  But I'm not totally sold on it.  I have concerns about softness issues due to heat, and here in SE Texas it can get pretty hot/humid in the summer, esp. in our house.

So I'm wondering: Should I go with a new Sealy Posturepedic or similar?  Maybe a Stearns and Foster?  I really never had an issue with traditional coil spring mattresses; it's just that our Posturepedic has kind of started to sag a bit.  (By the way, is it normal for a coil spring mattress to give out in 6-7 years?  My wife and I aren't very heavy, both of us weigh less than 140 pounds).

I'm not really considering other options aside from TempurPedic and some traditional coil mattress, mostly because I'm unfamiliar wtih the rest of the market.

Thanks in advance for the help!
