Thickness and density of mattress pad for back pain?
When waking up, I have slight back pain that originally stems from a minor spinal injury about four months ago. My current bed is firm and only about two years old, so I am thinking that a topper would work well. I mostly sleep on my back, but occassionally on my side. I am 5'10 and weigh 140 pounds.
What thickness and density would be best? I was thinking of a 3 inch sensus 5 pound topper. Then I read that three inches is too thick and can cause more back pain. Is that accurate?
Another thing that I am worried about is that in the summer it can get to over 100 degrees. What can I do to keep it cool? This message was modified Apr 5, 2012 by koala
