Trying to decide on the right foundation

I think I am pretty close to getting my new bed, however now I need to decide on a foundation. I originally thought of just buying a traditional box spring, but I wanted to look at all my options first. The other two options I was considering are a wooden flat style slat foundation like the one Sleepez sells or a euro slat foundation like the one Flobeds sells. Ideally I would like to be able to use this foundation with any mattress I choose to get. I am not sure if either wooden type foundations could be used with a coil mattress if need be. Most likely I will buy a latex mattress, but it's not for sure yet. Also what are the advantages/disadvantages of using either type of slat foundation. Thanks.

I got the flat style slat one from SleepEZ, but I really did consider getting a Euroslat one. If SleepEZ sold them, I would have tried to find the extra $$'s for it. That said, I've read (and been told here) that you get the greatest benefit from the Euroslat when you use a thinner (8 inches?) mattress with it.

Green Sleep puts their coil mattress on a slatted base, so one might assume that coils on slats is O.K.  Budgy would be the right person to comment on this however.
