Ive been sleeping on this mattress for about 25 nights.

From top to bottom: 4"Lux-HQ/3"med latex/2"soft latex. Lux from foam by mail. All latex is sleepeze talaley blended .

On my first night, I was so hyped, My mind, and body was searching for anything that wasnt right. Of course I didnt sleep well.

Finally I realized  I needed to calm my mind down and give the bed a chance to show me what it had. As a results I had a couple of fairly good nights. But one night I woke at about 4am and the bed felt really hard and uncomfortable. The strange thing is the next night, there was no hint of that discomfort. Wow.

At  this point  the mattress was on the living room floor, with just a fiited sheet on top.  Then I encased the mattress in the terry cloth cover  from foam by mail. The same experience repeats itself. The first night ok, but on about the 3rd night with the cover I woke and felt the hardness again. wow.  However, I havent felt the discomfort again. In fact it just seems to be getting better.

Now the mattress is in the bedroom on a slatted bed frame and Im feeling good about how things are going. Im waking up and not wanting to get up. Feeling pretty snuggly and warm. I suppose thats a good sign . Iam, guardedly, optimistic at this point.

My bed slats are separated by about 4 1/2".   can I expect continued and proper support for my mattress with this set up? I was thinking of adding a bit of support in the butt area.  I thought also about laying plywood over the complete length, but I think I should leave some opening for ventilation. All opinions and observations are welcomed.

When we tried a latex bed a few years ago, we used the steel frame that would normally have box springs on it and inserted 3/4" plywood with 1" diameter holes dremeled throughtout for ventilation.  If you are using solid plywood, you definitely need to provide ventilation.  It sounds to me like your slat spacing is a bit too wide for proper support.
