What firmness would 3" 40 ild blended talalay have directly on floor, in cover?
I am in the process of putting together a bed, but am looking for a particular frame which may take awhile. I have purchased a nice 360' topper cover that I'm going to put a 3" blended talalay topper in. What I'm wondering is at 3" and me being 6' 200 lbs what compression comfort level there'd be with the extra firm so I could sleep on it while working on this project, then later just use that layer as part of the core. Would I bottom out, would it be rock hard? Just wondering, otherwise if I purchase the foam for comfort layer I'd go with around 32 ild and put either a dunlop base or hr 3.0 lb poly foam. Thanks. |

It is hard to tell but you will probably bottom out if you sleep on your side. Any kind of padding underneath would help this. Even old blankets. Mattdud |
