The price looks pretty good, and I'm tempted because my latex mattress isn't quite right. But I'm concerned that it might be too hot, or too whatever. Has anyone here tried it, or something like it?
I have found that elevating the head end of my latex mattress helps my back quite a bit. So far. Maybe I need an adjustable bed. I, too, had some trouble adjusting, but I doubt it's the latex for me because I have varying degrees of pain no matter where I sleep.
A futon mattress is generally about 4" to 6" cotton or cotton/wool batting with a cover. In my experience they tend to compress fairly quickly, the cheaper ones go very quickly.

2. This similar 8" wood slat foundation (same as the SleepEZ website's foundation) for $239?
just fyi, that doesn't look like the SleepEZ foundation I have. Mine came in 3 sections (head, middle, foot) that bolt together, similar to the Flobeds (6.1.) one you link to.
What I don't care for about mine is the three sections thing. That was not what I was expecting when I ordered. It was probably too much money for what it is and I would probably have done better by waiting for a good platform bed or something. Plus I also got a lousy metal frame to put it on...
kyley, wh are you wanting the SleepEZ foundation? I bought one because I needed Twin XL and couldn't find one locally without waiting, but if I were to do it over again, I would probably get something else. My twin xl came in 3 sections.
Back in July I ordered a SleepEz 10,000 natural Talalay Twin XL. I had an extensive email conversation with Jeremy over the course of a week or so and he'd recommended I get XF/F/M or F/F/M layers. When I placed my order by phone, I spoke with Shaun, who recommended F/M/S and so that's what I...

If they cared in particular, they would have made a better mattress all along. They want them to fail prematurely so they can sell you another one.
Yep. It's called Planned Obsolescence.

Mattresses are pretty much recession proof....there like coffins and tombstones, people will always need them. Especially with all the cheaply made stuff that is hocked these days that people need to replace more often then ever.
that may be, but poor people don't buy expensive...

Is there a 1" latex pad you would recommend? Currently, there's only 1" of 19 ILD, with 2" of 24 ILD under that (both Dunlop, I am pretty sure)
I don't really have a recommendation, I have a 1" FoamByMail topper, I believe it's about 24 ILD. I was lucky enough to get it from...
How much time do you have to return this mattress? If you have awhile, I would also recommend a 1 inch soft topper over the Costco latex. Did you swap out the frame for a better one?
I have a king size down blanket that I find very versatile. I can fold it in half if I need something a little warmer. Or not, to stay cooler. In the winter, a cotton duvet cover adds more layers for more warmth. I like it a lot.
Frankly, I think it depends on who you talk to over there. One person recommended I get XF/F/M or F/F/M while another recommended F/M/S. I went against my better judgement and went with the second person's recommendation and I needed to do a layer exchange (it only cost me $30 in shipping). I'm...
Thanks, Diane. It sounds like you concur, budgy. And this is not a little cat. He's a 16 pounder with a bladder that holds almost a cup, judging from the soakings he's given clothes left on the floor. Fortunately, he's not doing it every day....
It seems a shame to put a waterproof cover on a...
