Is it possible I have a foam or latex allergy?

I would give odds of very slim on the latex. More likely might be mold if latex is top layer, and foam is underneath, thus preventing latex from venting moisture. Highest probability is dust mites, etc. with cuddlebed. Might want to get a good comforter enclosure from NationalAllergy.

Looking to replicate the City Mattress line for Prana Sleep

    1. Never believe anything a mattress salesman tells you. 2. IIRC, Sealy switched to all synthetic (as opposed to blended) talalay latex a year or so ago. Mattress companies generally prefer talalay process due to consistency/control over the process (I'm not saying that talalay better). It...

    I've slept all over town

Try doubling your eggcrate, first mated, and then unmated, and see how each feels. As has already been mentioned, your real problem probably the mattress, not the toppers, assuming the ache w/ only one topper is support and not pressure related. As far as naturalsleepproducts, no direct info but...

Zoning may not work for everyone...

Jim Can't recall if you were always working on top of springs or not. It's when working with all latex that I think zoning is important for some since it's the support system, not comfort layers, you're zoning. Still, nothing works for everyone. BTW, are the sealy springs already zoned--firmer...

    Help With Finding a Mattress

Plug in as much info about the mattress as you can--age, price, 7" solid (dubious) or includes quilted cover, where purchased, manufacturer, materials tag, etc.--and people here should be able to determine what you might have and provide help. Also, are you dead certain it's latex, and not just...

    Help With Finding a Mattress

"Currently we have a seven inch firm latex mattress" Do you have any details on that latex? Some companies might call a 28 ILD firm, but that would be far too soft as a base for the visco and foamex. My WAG would be that the temper beds use an HR approaching 50. I would also guess (complete...

    Our Hastens Experience

Sorry you're missing this, but nobody is a fool for buying whatever is necessary to get a good night's sleep. And I'm sure that for some, that means a Hastens; but for most, a Hastens isn't necessary, and perhaps not even the best choice. Most here didn't just fall off turnip trucks and your...

"15 months ago my wife and I purchased a Hastens Excelsior. It was by far the best bed we have ever slept in bar none. We have taken very good care of our investment. But something has gone wrong, and the bed has developed a slight hammocking effect that is problematic. omething unusual has gone...

"Would one say a Ferrari is expensive? How about an Aston Martin? A meal at Per Se in manhattan? A Jaeger LeCoultre watch perhaps? These are all very expensive items, and not for everyone. But to me they are NOT overrated or over priced. They are superior luxury items for the fortunate minority...

*Serta Pure Response 100% latex. Not bad! Not bad at all!*

My post was a cut and paste and should have been in quotation marks. It was objective, not subjective, and clearly stated that widespread usage has been changing. I posted it because I chuckled when I read "I just had the opportunity to lay on two very nice 100% latex mattresses over at a local...

*Serta Pure Response 100% latex. Not bad! Not bad at all!*

usage lay has been used intransitively in the sense of “lie” since the 14th century. The practice was unremarked until around 1770; attempts to correct it have been a fixture of schoolbooks ever since. Generations of teachers and critics have succeeded in taming most literary and learned...

    Latex topper for spring mattress?

Dunlop the older, simpler, cheaper manufacturing process which allows slabs to be manufactured near source (i.e., slang "jungle"), as opposed to the quality controlled, larger manufacturing facility Dunlop made in UK, US, etc..
