I just love my pine slat box and that was one of my sales also during the 90 days. I also love the 10" legs that I exchanged my other legs for that raise my bed up to allow storage underneath. The slat box gives very firm support and is rigid and does not move around but is easy to take move if I ever had to remove the bed from the room (If I ever move from my home) since I got the split foundation. I would go with this sale and know that the mattress itself could also go on sale during Thanksgiving so you would at least maybe have another mark down in price. I also went with the organic cotton on the sides but that is because at first I felt I needed 100% natural Talalay Latex but I see now that the blended 44 Talalay...

Yes, my Dream Coil Omalon topper has zoning. I'm not sure it really makes a huge difference in a readymade topper. I was thinking more about the individual foam layers in different ILDs that you can customize.
We all sink in to a point. Naturally, the heavier we are, the more sinking we'll do. I can stand to lose weight, so I probably make more of an impression than someone like Lynn wno weighs under 100 lbs. As for getting impressions on me from the CuddleBed stitched squares? Never. I love the puffiness and subtle billowy feel. But, I don't feel any wrinkles or stitching whatsoever.

I agree! I would have returned a bed or two in my days already, but Sealy has the warranty so you have to have a deep impression naturally....

Wonder why I have this problem? I am using a Spring Air mattress with a pillowtop (on both side) that is separate from the mattress. So maybe that makes the edges a tad bit higher than the rest of the...

Next to buying a tombstone, this is probably the hardest decision you have to make. Sadly, there are many people in my industry who take advantage of people and give all of us a bad name. I will try to remedy that with some honest advice.
For the most part, the advice given on the welcome page is solid. Follow those guidelines and your experience will be a good one. As far as the types of beds, you generally have firm, plush, and pillowtop. For many years, people were told the firmer the better. This could not be further from the truth! That myth led to generations of back problems. It drives me crazy when a person comes in and says my doctor or my chiropractor told me to get the firmest bed you have. I usually tell them to get a new doctor! For the people who do not walk out on...
SleepScience mattresses at Costco - waldo

Seems Costco is starting to sell another memory foam brand online - SleepScience. They have a promotion going on and you can get a king mattress for $999 + tax, looks like not a bad deal.
Any thoughts about it?
I had mixed results with Costco's NovaForm. While I really like how the foam mattress feels it had a soft spot right under my butt on one side where I sleep, not sure if it was a manufacturing foam imperfection or it just became softer "naturally" after one week's of use, anyhow it's giving me pain so I'm in the process of returning it. Wondering if I should bother with another memory foam mattress or it is just going to be the same. I'm 190lbs, 6'4".

I'm in the BayArea too, and was considering a Simmons "Adrian" Firm from Macys. Which Simmons Firm did you end up with, that you don't like?
I am looking to replace a "great" (says my girlfriend) bed (a S&F firm euro pillowtop) because it has cavernous body impressions and feels like i'm being swallowed up and hammocked with my shoulders all hunched up. I need something firm and flat, but comfortable too of course.
Ideally, after lots of research, i'd go for a natural Latex bed, if i could find an affordable one that i could also TRY before buying.. that's that catch, it seems! i saw the Royal-Pedic at Spring on Polk st yesterday.. LOVED it but *very* expensive. Macy's has Sealy SpringFree, but its synthetic latex (not natural) and i wasn't that impressed for the money, and MemoryFoam is not for me. A friend got a bed from European Sleepworks,...

Kane,
This is a great post!
I bought a King Simmons Beauty Rest 10 years ago and when I got it home for the first little while I woke up after 4 or 5 hours completely relieved and fresh ready to go!
10 years later it is fully hammocked on both sides, and my wife and I are quite tired when we wake up needing a new mattress. We have been all over the place searching and happened our way to IKEA to look for something else. I have to mention that we were QUITE impressed with IKEA as well ... interested with the ERFJORD King ... ended up trying the Tolg Latex Mattress topper hoping for a little relief despite the hammocking.
Had fabulous sleep and wanted to keep it but it was a "bum" shipment and 5" too short, and 4" not wide enough.
How is it working for you...

Hi,
Funny ... I have been looking at the IKEA ERFJORD latex mattress as well. My only concern with it was the fact it was only 85% natural ... 15% Synthetic. For this reason, I have been looking at the 100% latex mattresses. Neither of us currently have allergies, I just thought it would be best if the mattress I spend 8 hours on a day was free of chemicals. I used to be allergic to all kinds of food.
However, after reading all of the threads on the Spring Air Nature's Rest and the Sealy Spring Free (from this site and others) ... alot of people complain of the following: after a short period of time people complain of a "canoe" feeling; impressions of 1.5" or more after brief use ... like 90 days to 2 years; tearing of the mattress under the material which...

Hi,

I just ordered a platform bed with a slat foundation and am planning to replace my current innerspring mattress with a latex mattress. I have about $1,000 to work with.

I've tested the IKEA ERFJORD latex mattress at the store a few times and like it, but wanted to see if anyone was familiar with the Milan 8" Latex Mattress from naturabeds.com. http://www.naturabeds.com/Latex-Mattress-Milan-8--Trevira_p_0-831.html
I can't find any reviews for it anywhere except for some very short comments on eBay from people who have purchased the mattress there (the same company appears to sell their products under the seller EuroSleep4Less). The manufacturer appears to be Somycol. Anyway, if anyone has any experience with the product, I'd appreciate your feedback.

Thanks....
