What topper layering has been working for you now?

I have read past postings and some of you use to like a topper, and then decided later you didn't care for it.

Can we update on what topper layers you are using and what is covering those layers? Particularly I am interested in padding my hip area. If you could list what particular "ailment" you are addressing. It seems like mostly people have back problems I have been reading here. Thanks to anyone who responds. It gets so confusing to try to figure out what is working for someone.

I couldn't remember who liked the Brylane toppers and who didn't. I am one who is "trying to like it" but I either need something else on top or it is not for me. I have 2" of the latex. The 1" layer on the bottom is not as soft, and the one on top is soft. It seems like such a nice soft good quality topper, why the heck can't I get it right? It is when I put a mattress cover or all cotton sheet on top it changes the softness to hardness! I am going to try a Carpenter 5 zone polyurethane topper as soon as it airs out, over the latex.

Yes, my Dream Coil Omalon topper has zoning. I'm not sure it really makes a huge difference in a readymade topper. I was thinking more about the individual foam layers in different ILDs that you can customize.

We all sink in to a point. Naturally, the heavier we are, the more sinking we'll do. I can stand to lose weight, so I probably make more of an impression than someone like Lynn wno weighs under 100 lbs. As for getting impressions on me from the CuddleBed stitched squares? Never. I love the puffiness and subtle billowy feel. But, I don't feel any wrinkles or stitching whatsoever.

Jim was the only one I read about making his own zoning. The cheap PU topper I have has so called zoning in it and it didn't help at all. Does that topper of yours have zoning?

My shoulder is better today, maybe I just slept wrong for a few nights, I truly am tired of changing things around.

You don't sink in at all with your mattress do you? I do sink in now (which is what I need with my hip) so I get impressions on me from from the stitching from the mattress pad. Guess I weigh more than you so I press into those stitches and wrinkles

Wonder why I have this problem? I am using a Spring Air mattress with a pillowtop (on both side) that is separate from the mattress. So maybe that makes the edges a tad bit higher than the rest of the bed, so I get a canopy type of thing going on! Maybe I just need to pull the mattress pad more tight. Not sure, but it is an improvement over what I had. My sheets are extremely new (less than 3 months) and are from Ross, Royal Velvet brand. They are already pilling, so maybe I will try my sheets that make noise (high thread count, Egyptian) next time to see if it keeps it tighter.

Gosh talk about a picky person huh? I am just happy not having hip pain anymore. I end up sleeping on my back though cause of the deep impressions I get on the side. I could stand to lose some weight, but I use to be skinny in my youth
