What topper layering has been working for you now?

I have read past postings and some of you use to like a topper, and then decided later you didn't care for it.

Can we update on what topper layers you are using and what is covering those layers?  Particularly I am interested in padding my hip area.  If you could list what particular "ailment" you are addressing.  It seems like mostly people have back problems I have been reading here.  Thanks to anyone who responds.  It gets so confusing to try to figure out what is working for someone.

I couldn't remember who liked the Brylane toppers and who didn't.  I am one who is "trying to like it" but I either need something else on top or it is not for me.  I have 2" of the latex.  The 1" layer on the bottom is not as soft, and the one on top is soft.  It seems like such a nice soft good quality topper, why the heck can't I get it right?  It is when I put a mattress cover or all cotton sheet on top it changes the softness to hardness!  I am going to try a Carpenter 5 zone polyurethane topper as soon as it airs out, over the latex.
