I have 1" memory foam on top, then the cheap polyurethane 1 1/2" layer, then the Natura 1" latex. Seems like that should be good. But maybe I need to try the latex on top. The other problem I had was when I put the mattress pad on top of the memory foam it felt like concrete....

i might agree with you after all. my wife and i went to yet another Sleepy's today. we tried a Vera Wang latex that was on sale for $1999. i thought it was ok, my wife really liked it. but somehow i didn't feel confident it was a bed i could sleep on for months to come, much less years. anyway, i put a refundable deposit on it.
we then stopped by the flagship Sleepy's store in NYC, on 5th avenue. we wanted to try the Comfor-Pedic one more time, and maybe feel some other latex models. they had the Comfor-Pedic Natural model that we liked, but it felt nothing like the 2 we tried at other stores. the top layer (their "NxG" foam) had gone to mush, and it lacked support. after lying for more than 3 minutes i felt an odd tingling in my lower back, which felt...

my wife and i have been arduously searching for a new bed, so i've been poring over this forum for the last few days and have founds loads of great info - thanks to all for their contributions.
initially we were interested in the Simmons Black stuff - the Florence with the 2" memory foam topper - but it seemed awfully overpriced, and reading accounts of poor Simmons quality and the failings of pillowtop beds has pretty much ruled that out. there is a similar bed in the World Class line for much less (the Depere or Belmont depending on where you shop) but we are wary of pillow tops now.
we thought we liked firm beds (my wife often likes to sleep on the floor to mix things up), but we're realizing we need a little more compliance and support as we get older. so a foam top with...

Hi Everyone,
I think I over-researched and now am confused on which are the best natural latex beds (in my price-range). My ideal bed at this point is a triple-layered, 9” Dunlop set encased in a zippered organic wool & cotton cover. Below are some stores I've looked at along with some issues I have with them. I think this list will help others who are searching, and I'm also hoping that anyone with latex bed experience will be able to offer their feedback and expertise. Thank you!
1. Savvyrest: Seems like a great bed, but no return policy. Not with any of their vendors either. I can’t in good conscience drop that much money on a bed without the possibility of returning it. Also, their warranty only covers depressions that are 1 ½” deep or more. That seems like a lot to me, so I don’t have confidence in their beds.
