Clueless in what to get.

I am going to have Workers Comp buy me a new bed. (No..they are not happy!) I cannot get a decent nights sleep in my 85% wave-less waterbed anymore and it is he!! to get into and out of. I have been using it (with mattress changes) for 20 years.

I am going with a adjustable frame because of the low back issues, but what to put on top of it?  I am over 300lbs and need medium support.  I don't want anything to put stress on the hips but need support for the spine.

I live in a small town so trying this stuff out is not an option easily done and can't afford the return costs on those "free" trials. So I gotta pick it right from pure investigation.  I have ruled out the Sleep-number (leakage) and the Tempurpedic (compression and bottoming out). I guess latex is the next to consider?

Any suggestions are welcome....or in fact...much needed!

Edited to add- Talk to me like I don't know anything...because I don't!  :)
