DIY HR foam mattress--generally good, couple of questions!
So, we've finally set up the foam mattress from FBM! It came so quickly--in 3 or 4 days, so i was really pleased.

3 inches LUX-HQ
3 inches HD36-HQ
1 1/2 inches HD36 eggcrate
1 1/2 inches supersoft eggcrate
1 inch fiber mattress cover

I really liked the initial feel of the mattress--firm, yet a little cush on top. Felt really solid, supportive. Two things i've noticed, in my first night's sleep, though, are: It might sleep a little 'hot'--i think i just woke up sweating slightly! And, when i lie on my back, i feel a little discomfort in my lumbar area...Perhaps this is due to not 'sinking' in as much as i should?

Well, i'll see how it feels in the next nights.
Can i place anything on top to lessen the heat? Latex, perhaps? I'm sure memory foam would only increase it...?

I'm generally pleased, and will report again (of course!). Thanks for all the great advice and information--this forum is such a wonderful resource!! One day maybe i'll be able to afford a FloBed...;)

p.s. and of course there's the motion transfer question...It feels a lot more stable than my innerspring, of course, but haven't put it to the test yet with boyfriend sleeping in it!
