latex mattress or topper

I have a 3 year old sealy firm mattress with a 3 inch memory foam on top. I have back problems and want to change what I am sleeping on. Parklane Mattresses in Oregon offers a really reasonable latex mattress with a 6 inch med/firm core and a three inch med/soft top which is listed as plush, all in talalay. The other option I thought of was to buy a three inch topper from Rocky mountain to place on my existing mattress. I have never slept on latex so I am not sure what would be a good start. I am not sure if my Sealy is sinking somewhat in the middle, doesn't look like it but sometimes feels like it. Thanks. Just checked Amazon and they list the mattress as 6 inch firm core with medium 3 inch top and list the bed as firm, webside lists plush. Price is under $1000.00 and it is latex talalay, not a blend.
