Lux-HQ or HD36-HQ Topper?
Hello all! A mattress-loving newb posting for the first time. My wife and I recently purchased a Sleep Number Special Edition Bed. A decent enough price (<$1000), but I wanted a bit more cushiness. A couple of weeks ago, I purchased an Isoform 3" memory foam topper and placed it inside the bed, just below the pillowtop. While it has increase the "plushness" of the bed there's quite a bit of sinking and maybe a little too much cushiness. :) While increasing the firmness of the air bladders is one solution, it's worth noting that "support" layer of foam above the air bladders is anything BUT supportive - it's a pretty flimsy 1" layer of foam. No idea what the density is, but I figured that adding a firmer layer of support between the memory foam layer and the air bladders may provide a little more support. I found FBM's products online last night (and while doing a search on them, came across this great forum), and wondered if anyone had any experience with these toppers? The Lux sounds great but it may be going too far in terms of what I'm looking for, which is just a bit of added support to the memory foam layer. Thanks for any help you may be able to provide! |
