Memory foam topper question

How different will a 4lbs. density 2" memory foam topper feel when it's sandwiched in between a couple of 1" layers of latex (32 ILD underneath and maybe 20 ILD on top with a down alternative fiber bed over everything)....as compared to having the memory foam on TOP of the latex with the fiber bed over that? And, maybe I would take away the softer ILD latex, as well. Does memory foam feel better directly under the back and mattress pad or indirectly between other layers of foam? I know some mattress companies seem to use it tucked into the other layers.

If your memory foam is heat sensitive, it may not soften as well when it is far away from your body.

Personally, I like the feeling of memory foam as my top layer.  I think it is very comfortable to sleep on directly.

However, it may be nice in the configuration you described.  You should try out a few configurations to see which one is best for you.

Thanks, Mequon Jim. As soon as I'm allowed to lift over 10 lbs. I can't wait to get my hands on that box and take out the memory foam! :-) I definitely plan to try a few configurations. I also am LOVING the feel of this Ultimate Cuddle Bed Plus from Costco! It just feels WONDERFUL as it cradles my back. And, the latex layers underneath give me the support. I hope the memory foam will add even more comfort to this mix! I also have a luxurious fiber bed waiting in the next room which I might trade off with the Cuddle Bed now and then. So many choices!

Eeenie Meenie Minie Mo!
