Need advice on ILD and 1 or 2 inch mattress topper to get
I bought a new mattress over the summer that ended up being way too plush/soft for me and woke up every morning with lower back pain. I am a stomach sleeper, and sometimes side sleeper. I then exchanged it for a very firm mattress (which was probably too extreme) and now I find I not only toss and turn all night (mattress too firm), but I am having a hard time going back to my usual stomach sleeping position without nearly instant lower back pain. (For reference, I'm in my late 30's, in good shape, no health issues, weigh 135 lbs). I need something to soften the mattress as it's pretty uncomfortable as is. At first I was thinking of getting a memory foam topper, but I read on here someone else with the same problem purchased one, and the sinking in feeling bothered her lower back all over again. So, I am considering a latex mattress topper. After hearing good things about Sleeplikeabear.com, I was thinking of getting this one: http://www.sleeplikeabear.com/talatech_toppers (Expensive but they do have a decent return policy).. Would the 14 ILD be way too soft and should I go with a 1" or 2" topper? Another choice is this one: http://www.foambymail.com/LatexTQueen.html. Cheaper, but not sure what quality is like. They list theirs as 20 ILD for soft. I just need a good night's sleep. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you!
