Q about foam to the edge
Our previous mattress was an innerspring with firm foam in the edges for support. This support was nice when sitting on the edge of the bed, and seemed to increase the effective surface area of the mattress, as you could sleep near the edge without the edge collapsing. Now, I have a latex foam mattress I've put together myself with layers inside a futon cover. The edges are soft, so sitting on the edges feels different, and my husband says when he sleeps near the edge he feels like he might roll off (he rolls around a lot at night). Would getting a "real" mattress cover, tailored to be the right number of inches, keep the edges from feeling as soft? And where would be a good source to get one? It would need to be 10". |
