Anyone know a source for Dunlop or Dunlopillo latex?

I'm looking for a Dunlop topper and/or a Dunlop core (4-6"). Anyone know where to get one? I read one post that says Dunlop is no longer in business? Or was it Dunlopillo? In any case, some of their stock must still be around in warehouses, etc...? Net shops? |

Jim, is the memory foam glued to both sides? If it isn't can't you flip it over and put the toppers you want on it? I have 3 layers of cheap 1" memory foam just at the waist up to the shoulders, to help with my shoulder pain (with 1 3/4" firm Dunlop under that and spring mattress). But it is just like you said, hard to find the perfect combo. It is the closest to pain free sleeping I have had. Some nights the shoulders hurt if I don't get that darn pillow in the right spot. I have only 1" memory foam over the lower back area, that is over the Dunlop. Anymore than that my back hurts. So go figure...... I had problems with Sealy Trueform memory foam that was 5" thick (I think) that was glued to HR foam, in less than 6 months my hips hurt and I just couldn't sleep. It couldn't have been it was too thick (it was) because my hips were hitting the firm foam. This message was modified May 21, 2009 by Leo3

| Leo, yes, with the overnightmattress.com mattress I HAD (I have now returned it) the memory foam was glued to the M-grade foam base. So what I did was turn it over and slept on the M-Grade foam. But the guy at overnight said that the problem was probably that I needed more than 5" of M-grade as a base. They sell just an M-Grade core of 7" and I wish I'd have bought that. I still might some day, but for now I'm back to experimenting with my HR foam with Sensus and Venus toppers. I am going to write overnightmattress.com and suggest to them that they offer the M-grade foam in other ILD's for people like us. If I could get 6-7" of it in a slightly higher ILD I might be interested. I think the 31 ILD (I think that's what it was) was a bit too soft for me once it got broken in. |

| Good to hear that. Wish I had known before I received my Dunlop from Overstock. I may order soft Dunlop from them if I have to though. Let us know the prices. |

Haven't checked the prices yet but I wanted to add that they included this link with my email which shows that their Dunlop latex is certified "100% natural". Note that this is 31 ILD which I would call "Medium" more than "Firm" Still seems a little high to me, and I'm going to keep looking for a cheaper source. |
