Box springs versus platform beds?

Which one would be more suitable for people with low back pain?

I read somewhere that in Europe they use platform beds mostly and not box springs.

I wonder if that may be a reason that they have less low back pain complaints as a result?

All I know about platform beds is that they do not need box springs.

I do not like box springs. I feel they are contributing to low back pain.

So if anyone who has experience with platform beds kindly tell about your opinion about this matter.

thanks so much.

a platform bed means no box-spring

the bed is more comfortable w/out the box spring. Less wiggly jiggly

box springs are a highly profitable item so companies market that they are necessary to having your mattress give proper support.
Poppycock. its wood and fabric and maybe some bad springs inside but no magic.

most modern day boxsprings are completely solid, just like a platform bed.  rarely are they still flexible and functional, that would be reserved for your highest end mattress sets.
