There is a LOT of debate on how fair the BBB grading system is . . <a href="http://www.google.com/#hl=en&source=hp&q=bbb+unfair&btnG=Google+Search&aq=f&aqi=&oq=bbb+unfair&fp=c26c79a56c95bda8">Google search</a>. In the case of this company, an "F" rating for "Failure to respond to 1 complaint filed against business" in 17 years of business history does seem just a tad harsh. As with numerous other vendors, they are definitely guilty of "gaming the search engine system" with multiple websites . . <a href="http://www.google.com/#hl=en&q=%28888%29+773-7326&start=10&sa=N&fp=c26c79a56c95bda8">phone number search</a>. 2-17-10 edit . . I stand corrected! : "we don't have a call center in Nevada. All calls are answered in California and all our latex foam products are shipped by us." Sager you make a valid argument. However, their pricing for quality latex leaves them vulnerable to legitimate questioning. Here is information on how the BBB does there rating. http://www.bbb.org/business-reviews/ratings/overview.html I have no desire to defend the BBB, or any other large organization. By nature I tend to suspect large organizations. Where lots of money and prestige are present corruption usually seeps in. I was a member of Consumers Union, publishers of Consumers Reports, for over 40 years. I saw some of their reports that looked quite suspect to me but others that were quite helpful. But over the years I saw them drift more and more towards the upper strata of our very influential society. Finally I got disgusted with it when they reported on hundred thousand dollar plus automobiles and I rescinded my subscription. But the problem is where do little folks go to get accurate information on anything. Thus, the importance of boards like this one. Where individuals who have no ax to grind (hopefully) can state their actual experiences for others to evaluate. I have respected your opinions most of the time. You can express them in a rather sarcastic fashion some of the time, however I feel your pain, as some of the questions placed on this board can be not only overly redundant but actually ridiculous. But I have found your opinions, in the main, to be quite accurate. Therefore I appreciate your input. This message was modified Feb 18, 2010 by a moderator

These prices for the Arizona Mattress Company do seem amazing. And look at the prices on these Dunlop cores: http://www.latexmattresscompany.com/latex-cores-natural-7-zoned-dunlop.html I'm tempted. |
Thanks Narnia for updating this posting. Great. Thanks. This message was modified Feb 19, 2010 by Leo3

I bought 1 layer of latex from sleeplikeabear before and ended up returning it. I didn't have any problem dealing with them (got a refund less shipping and handling) and it seemed like it came from and went back to their same address in California. |
Leo3 I've updated my original post and send a PM to the Admin. Sorry about the formatting, I copied and when I pasted and the formatting got messed up, and I was trying to insert hyperlinks for all the websites but it wouldn't work for some reason. Oh well, it's still readable! |
I was just looking at the Arizona Mattress Company, I thought the queen was $1,095 with a cover: http://www.latexmattresscompany.com/quadulpllasl.html |
Their Plush Latex Sleep System mattress is made with 60/40 blended Latex International Talatech® latex. My list only includes 100% All Natural Talalay Latex. |
Highlight the word you want to have the URL associated with, and then go up to the toolbar above the message you are typing; and click on the link button and enter the address, this will set the hyperlink. (Bill posted instructions, I searched the forum). I will try it here and see it if works: Foamsweetfoam it worked! Took a few times to get it right. I ended up just copying the website I wanted and pasted it in. Let us know what you end up for a new mattress. This message was modified Feb 18, 2010 by Leo3

Narnia, Something I noticed after making that hyperlink for Foamsweetfoam and visiting the website, I see they only sell natural talalay from Latex International. That would be a higher price than blended talalay. You might note that in your list. Are you looking for blended, or natural? Okay I see on your list you say natural latex, but Sleeplikeabear sells only blended latex right now. So you are comparing two different latex types. Just thought you would want to know. Unless you called them and got the price for natural, I believe they will order it for you, more than likely a higher price. Don't know about the other vendors.
