How does one's "RANK" get figured on this forum?

This falls under "What'sTheBest-Mattress.com TRIVIA: I really don't even care but my curiosity has made me wonder from time to time how one gets "ranked" on this site. I have wondered this before and thought about asking but now I'm asking because I observed the following: Yesterday or the day before I am pretty sure my ranking rating looked different. Now I see I have 4 stars but the first 2 are a different color. What does all this mean? I have to wonder: Did I do something wrong?!  Or right...?What caused my Ranking to change?
